Activities at Sporting Wallsend
Since 2023 we have been introducing a range of activities and programs to our roster
We aim to provide sessions to help improve the health, fitness, and wellbeing of our local community through group, social, and fitness activities. Making sure we have activities available to all ages, skills and abilities.
We offer sessions such as:
Get Active Over 50’s – This includes a light coach-led exercise session followed by recreation activities, tea, coffee and a social chat in a warm and welcoming environment.
Fitness Pilates – This session is taught to music and includes traditional pilates and yoga moves to help increase movement, flexibility, balance and strength. Suitable for beginners and includes some mat work.
Line Dancing – We have recently introduced line dancing to our programme to offer something a little different and ideal for beginners and people of all fitness levels, encouraging them to get active through dance.
Carricks Kicks – Friday Night Youth Hub our youth session has recently been relaunched in a brand new format to include Carricks Kicks a 3G football session for children aged 8-16yrs followed by Xbox Fifa and Pizza upstairs in our Community Hub.
Others – We also hold other sessions and events throughout the year in our fitness studio and multi-use room. Other sessions in our programme also include: Walking Football for people 50+, Jiu Jitsu who hold their club in the community hub 3 times a week, junior cricket with Cricketqube, Wildcats football for girls and PODS football development sessions on a Saturday morning.
